My life really sucks. I studied hard and got master's degree from MIT but due to bad US job market this year the best job I could manage to find only offered 90k, whereas many of my friends are making 150k+. After NYC-rent and federal tax, I won't have anything left to save and I will never be able to afford an apartment in Manhattan. I am already in mid twenties and don't even have a car. I hate everything.

90K isn't enough, even in Manhattan that is more than enough to live a decent life. And who in Manhattan has a car anyways. And if it's that bad move to one of the outter boro's. I get by on far less than 90K and I live in Queens.

I feel you pain. Life sucks trying to live on less than $200,000.00 per year. I am trying to survive in L.A. My Lexus is three years old and is the joke of the neighborhood. I am the only person in the area who does not have a chauffeur. I bought a 60" television a few years ago, it is not 3D capable and everybody else in the neighborhood has 80" HDTVs.
