The Funny Side

I finally get it now.
I had always thought that the reason I couldn't do anything right was because it was just at the wrong moment or I just wasn't ready. Now I know I never even had the chance. You see it has been the same repeated pattern every single time. It's always the same people recieving the spot light. Those people who don't even have to try. The light always shines on them. It doesn't matter what it is. For me it's always been grades in school and auditioning for plays. It doesn't matter how hard I study or work hard to memorize, it doesn't matter if I know a monologue or can be the best tear jerking character you've seen, because those other people will always do better. They will always get the As without studying or the main character without caring. Or that successful future without even giving a shit. Now that's what I've learned lately, I have no control over my performance in life. I have no chance to be in the spotlight. Ever. The worst part though, I'm the one who has to live with it.
