I'm Sorry

On a daily basis for the past 2 years at least, I have been saying "I hate my life" at least once a day. I thought of suicide so many times but was too much of a coward carry it through. After reading many many stories on this site, I realized my life isn't that bad. I lost my virginity to a decent looking girl at 17, im not terribly over weight, I dont have many friends (but you only need a few), I have a mother that doesnt speak english but gave her entire social life to give birth to me in America so I can be a citizen, have a neglectful father but pays for my college.

I am very lonely, day in and day out. The only thing that keeps me going is my cat, anime, music and hope that one days things will get better.

I am in love with a girl I haven't even met yet (only some of you will get this)

But despite all this, my story pales in comparison to others posted on this site. Even I fail, I will do my best to get back on my feet and find her, start a family, and live happily ever after. I will do this for you all, I will do this for you.

i am glad you realize how good you do have it. you are NOT in love with this girl that you have NOT even met. you are only infatuated with her. it's NOT love. you may lose that infatuation the moment you meet her because of so many reasons. in person is totally different than online or talking on the phone. she may not be as attractive. her personality may be different. she may not smell good to you. so many things....

i am guessing you are young 19-23. why are you feeling lonely? you said you had a few friends and you go to college. why not join some clubs in your college? or get a PT job as a way to make more friends and feel less lonely. just a suggestion.

Yeah you have it good man, I understand that feeling of falling in love with someone you have never met. I wouldn't necessarily call it love though, not to insult your feelings but to me love is something you can only feel for the person that you have already married and are going to spend the rest of your life with and not just someone that you have strong feelings for. its nice to know that i'm not the only person that likes anime though, I can't get enough of the stuff, I think a lot more people like it than a lot of other people think tho. You know that people can like you at least tho, as in you have had sex and have been in relationships before. So you know that there are people that care for you out there unlike me and some of the other people feel on here. Have confidence for us and show that you can improve your life and find happiness where a lot of us can't see a glimmer of hope
