I started getting depression after me and my fiancé seperated and my mother died (at the same time). I moved to another country, but I hated my job and changed to another job.. unfortunately the new employer decided they would change their mind, so I was left unemployed. I got several poorly paid contracts, then in the last year it was terrible because I earnt very little (not enough to survive.. I had to borrow money for food and get charity hand outs (it's a Mediterranean country, and there is no social security for me). What's worse is the government want me to pay a quarter of my income in tax now, and I can't possibly earn enough to pay it. Also, the contracts are diappearing and I am now back on a sub-living wage. I feel my education was a complete waste (BSc, MSc, PhD) and just don't know what to do. I feel completely screwed. | |
At least you are in a beautiful country since all Med. countries, on the north shore, are lovely. Even Greece with all the problems. If you are in some place like Algeria or Syria, then you are fucked.
If things go really bad: a tip, sometimes you can get leftovers from nearby restaurants, I grew up with those. They tast really good and you can save a few bucks.
Maybe this year is gonna get much worse for the most of us.
