My life is bullshit.I married my wife 5 years ago when she was 140 lbs and happy.5 years later she is 240 lbs and miserable. She sleeps 20 hours a day and doesn't do a damn thing.Besides putting up with her my step son is a 10 year old with adhd who still shits and wets the bed.

It sounds like your wife has slipped into a depression no fault of your own. I would have her go to a doctor for treatment it is not the end of the world. we all go threw the tribulations of life only to make us stonger.

Yes - it sounds like your wife has slipped into depression. Imagine yourself in her shoes. She needs you, and your stepson needs you. It's time for you to be a man and stand up and embrace your duty as a husband and father. Love her - not necessarily in feeling, but in ACTION - do the same with your son, even if you don't feel like it. Express it in little ways throughout the day. Seek pyschiatric/medical help for your wife if she needs it, and if necessary even for your son. I really imagine that both of them are going through their own monumental life struggles right now. Do all that you can to help them, starting with your relationships with them first, and then all of the other things they need.

When you focus your whole self on someone else, you'll find that your own troubles go away. You won't feel strong enough to deal with it all on your own - so pray, even if you don't think it will help. You will see.

Grow up and help them. They need you. She is clearly depressed and your son needs love and attention like any child.

Buy here some flowers for her. Talk to her. Find out WHY??? She is depressed?? Be romantic. Be engaging. Do something nice for her- FOR ONCE. If she is heavy, offer to go on walks with her or help her with cooking more healthy meals. Do the dishes or the laundry. Take the kid somewhere fun & her. It doesn't have to be expensive. Spend some quality time together instead of ignoring her. Which is probably what you are doing, which is probably what is at the core of her depression? Weight is relative. Yeah- sure, everybody wants to be 110 lbs. But it's not reality. We are so conditioned to seeing perfect people on TV, ads, media, internet, ect.. That we have become such a fake, superficially, materialistic, society. It's very depressing. You love her? then treat her like you love her. That's my advice....

your an asshole. your wife is prolly depressed cause of you. Your son still wets the bed because apparently your not a good parent. help him instead of criticize him...
By anonymous at 24,Sep,12 13:40 doing. on this website...
wow. people like you are the reason people come to these websites and feel so shitty. because people like you throw out hurtful ideas and words when a person is feeling so helpless. NOT USEFUL. Bad.

By anonymous at 24,Sep,12 13:41

as in "you're an asshole" and yes, anonymous person who wrote this on march 8th, you are in fact acting like an ass.
By anonymous at 10,Feb,13 20:35

Oh don't give him any shit. That guy on the eighth? He's a fucking realist.
"Oh it's not your fault, it's life's fault. Wah wah wah"
Shut your faces. Life is what you make of it, and apparently instead of seeing the warning signs and doing something about it, he opted to bitch and moan to a bunch of people on the internet.
AND YOU! The fucktard that is blaming everything else for going to shit, take a look at yourself. Get some help for your family instead of bitching to us you lazy inconsiderate waste!

By anonymous at 29,Aug,12 17:12

Life is giving you a mighty challenge! No matter what your goals are, you will become a mighty impressive man when they are achieved.
Giving up is for whiners!
