21 years old with over 100,000 in student loan debt and a credit card maxed to it's $500 limit. I have no money at all. Not even a dollar in change and a bank account in the negatives. Nobody will hire me. Good jobs don't want me because a lack of experience and shit jobs don't want me because they know I have no intentions of staying and would rather hire someone less qualified that they could get away with paying less. Applying to jobs are hard, not because the application process but I'm to hungry to think. I live at home with my mother who can barely afford to feed herself, let alone the both of us. They say life will get better with time, but the only part of my life that's changing with time is the amount of debt I'm in due to interest.

Honestly, you are screwed probably for the remainder of your life financially. I would seriously consider moving to a 3rd world country and changing my name to avoid the debt. Studen loan debt is the worse because you can't Chapter 7 or 11 it like a bad mortage. Aside from winning the lottery or have a really rich grandma that has you in her will, you are in deep trouble. If you are an engineer or some other similar job like computer science, you can forget it too since they will just outsource it to India or China. "Graduate from college deep in debt, work in the toy section in Wallmart and live with your parents until you are 50." This is the new American Dream.

whole damn country is in debt and student loans are the worst.

so you got your degree. congrats but why don't u let these shit jobs know that you are OPEN when it comes to salary? don't tell me that as someone who is dead broke, you have salary demands? cuz that's just stupid. any $ is better than none. so let these employers now that you are willing to work for whatever and for long term.

you're hungry? ramen noodles, tuna, hot dogs. all stuff you can get for $1-2 in packs.

Because they want people that will stay to keep a low turnover. They know grads like me are just there until we find something better. If they keep hiring us and we leave in a few month or a year, then they have to repeat the job search, retrain someone to do the job, and they risk hiring someone that will suck at the job.

Trust me we're all flexible on salaries these days. It's hardly a bargaining chip.

Haven't you tot about being an online eng. teacher to some asian countries like korea, japan, china etc.? the job pays pretty good and can help get through the days. If you were in a 3rd world country like phil. and look decent enough you could get into show business and earn a lot. Not to mention all the popularity and stuff you'll get yourself with. Think bout it.

Im sorry about ur situation but here is one option, going with the idea of the previous person here is a site. (Im not allowed to type in a link here - the name is "tutorvista" you can google it). This is a site that helps tutor primary and middle school students in US. Few of my friends used to work as a tutor here for 2 to 4 hrs a day when in college. All you have to do is get connected online and help teach students.
This is just one example. You'll find many more online. And believe me something is better than nothing. You can do this while you try getting a job of your desire.
