I am no expert here at advice, heck it's not even worth two cents, but if I were in your shoes, I would give the military a chance? Like anything, it's for some people, and not for others. Not sure how the UK opperates their military, and whether it's similar to the U.S. but considering all the perks that the military "claims" to offer you, then, I would seriously consider that route and here's why:
1. Job security
2. Health benefits!!! with two young children, a wife, and a mother in law to support- well, that's like money in the bank!
3. Housing
4. Higher education opportunities- go to school and have them pay for it- sounds like a win win to me????
If I wasn't a forty year old, overwieght, woman, & loser, I would consider enlisting myself. The other choices are what? Stay in a job that you HATE. Do you get health benefits? Or find another job- in a shitty economy and probably HATE that one too???
In anycase- do what you think is going to make you happy in the future? Will providing all the listed above for your family make you happy? Or do you think there are better options out there?
I wish the best for you and your family-
Keep your chin up buddy, and if you get down, just remember those beautiful babies you have:)
We're rootin for you!
