My girlfriend left me two months ago... I've been trying to get it together. My Best friend left his wife for a younger woman around the same time my ex left me. She Left me so that she could "find herself"... she's been partying basically. SO my friend's ex wife and I started talking and one thing lead to another and we started hooking up. I told my best friend who also happends to be my boss. He told me not to come to work and doesn't want to see me nor talk to me anymore. I quit seeing my friends ex in hopes of him and I being able to work things out. I started talking to another girl who I haven't seen in a couple years. we hung out once and things seemed good.. told eachother a lot of our problems and deep conversations. We started texting eachother suggestive messages and pictures. She came down this last weekend and we hooked up. She told me the next day that she has herpes... She tried to trap me is the only sense I can make of why she did this. I'm sure she thought I would have rejected her if she had told me before hand. Today I gave blood samples and urine samples and now have to wait til the end of the week for the results. | |

I have herpes- HSV-1. I break out in cold sores around my mouth if I get stressed or my immune system is compromised. I want to help you by saying, unless she was in an "outbreak" she probably didn't transmit herpes to you. There are two types of "Herpes" viruses- HSV-1 and HSV-2. HSV-1 outbreaks are around the mouth- cold sores. HSV-2 are sores down in your genital area. They apparently are two different strains of the herpes virus. In anycase, it is possible to transmit HSV-1 down to your genital area- ie: someone with a cold sore going down and transmitting it orally- into the genital area. (I will let you figure out how that can happen)...
In any case, if the woman you slept with was in the middle of an outbreak- sores, then you could have contracted it. Otherwise, you might be safe. As always, it's good to keep it "wrapped-up". That way, you don't have to stress... Well, I hope this helps? I know it may seem like the end of the world if you contract herpes, but it isn't. The virus can stay dormant in your system- and many people that have herpes, don't even know it until they experience an outbreak-
