Wish I had died

Last year, I developed sudden onset binocular diplopia (double vision). Got an MRI and saw a big white mass behind my right eye. For a few days, I thought I had a brain tumor and would die in a few months. Turns out it was nothing, and my vision returned to normal on its own. Fast forward to today, I risked all my money on a business and so far it's not working out. Don't know how much longer I can hang on before creditors start banging down my door. I'm on the brink of losing everything, 150k in debt and nothing to show for it. Here's the thing - I wouldn't be in this situation if I had had a brain tumor. Now I wish that I did have a tumor. At least then I could have died with dignity. I would have taken than few thousand dollars I had and traveled with my family. Now I'm totally fucked. If my business doesn't improve I will have to declare bankrupcy. That wouldn't be so bad, but I don't even have money to pay for gas, utilities, etc., and no job prospects either.

Sorry about your troubles. So many people are in the same boat as you are. Maybe that might give you some comfort. These are strange times for us all. You still have your family and that is the most important thing. I'm sure your kids really need you no matter what. I keep thinking that cultivating a spiritual life of awareness may be the perfect antidote to what most of us are going through. Hang in there.

Rob a bank, but do your homework first. Banks are a relatively low risk crime if you do it right. Most bank robbers are never caught. They usually get caught because A: they do it too much or B: they make a huge mistake.

Dear Life Can Suck-
Thank you- Thank you for taking a risk, starting a business, and adding jobs to the economy! It isn't fair. I'm sure that you've exhausted all your options- but you don't want to die. Seriously, it's only money. I know that you feel trapped and backed into a corner, but wishing for death- geeesh, that is the ultimate extreme...
You've got your family who loves you- what would they do without you? Talk to a bankruptcy attorney. There must be a way out of your situation- even if it comes to claiming bankruptcy.... which by the way- is not the END of the WORLD! Many people are in your situation. Be strong- find a solution, your a smart dude, I bet you can come up with a way out of the "financial" quagmire...
Try to stay positive my friend, if nothing more, do it for your family- they are counting on you!!!
Keep us posted-

Sounds like your worrying yourself sick. The vision probably was due to your depressed outlook. Get off your ass, walk, run, move. Get a job, do something. Welcome to the jungle.
