I work in the healthcare field and can totally understand your dilemma. Believe it or not, your situation is more common than you'd expect- folks like yourself trying to raise their kids, send them to college, and then "wham" something traumatic happens, sending you in a tailspin. You're being squashed between a rock and a hard place, pulling double duty- and it's taking a toll on your health. No, you can't do it all- but you're trying to, and it's literally killing you- Gosh, it breaks my heart. Our health care system is grotesque. I myself don't even have health insurance and I work as a nurse. I just can't afford it! People are getting laid off in the name of "profit". There is no such thing as job "security". And an employer will lay you off before you can even think of collecting a pension. Yup- thanks to the fucking corporations and big business, greedy stock brokers, crooks all of them! I'm about ready to close my bank account- between all the overdraft fees and bullshit, it's like I'm better off keeping money under the mattress. So sweetie, you are not alone, millions are walking that fine line, living paycheck to paycheck- and god forbid something tragic happens? Please stay positive. It sucks for everyone right now- and Europe is doing worse than we are- It will be interesting to see what happens with Obamacare in the next few weeks...

Yeah there're more people out in the world who have it worse than you do but, it's different when you still can't help but to think that you still going through something. People can tell you all day everyday that your life isn't bad compared to other people in this world, but you will continue to think that you're the only one suffering. I know how you feel, what it means to want to give up and cut yourself off from the world. Get out and enjoy yourself. Treat yourself to a movie or dinner, just don't isolates yourself, because things can online get worse.

Having cancer sure does affect the whole family. Good thing you have your kids to offer support. Hope you are doing better, too, with the stents and surgery and all. Life can be so difficult sometimes. Best of luck to you and get well soon.
