well i'm fucked. i flunked out of college and owe my school about $12,000 which i can't afford. i'm unemployed, and it seems it'll be this way for a bit. my credit blows. i'm in a strained and failing relationship because of stress. i have few friends and my family is distant. i don't really have a home and i'm forced to depend on a man i don't think i love anymore to have a warm bed.

i'm 19, i totally fucked myself after high school, and i'm obviously unprepared for life.

i wish life had a do-over button.

At 19 life is far from over. Step back. Start making some hard choices. Especially about your relationship. Get out of that. Just that alone will drain all of your mental and physical energy. Then refocus. Check out this site for a friend who knows. K.

You are really very, very young. In a sense, you are "lucky" that you are learning now about some of the things that life and people and circumstances can throw at you.
You actually sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. You're admitting that you made some mistakes. In your case, you really can fix your mistakes. You have time, youth and smarts on your side. Use your talents. Good luck. Joyce

It takes a long time to fix shit. I had a run in for growing weed 10 years ago when I was 18, and I'm still sorting that out. Just keep on trucking.

To start with, you can definitely get a job at a fast food restaurant, or some place like that. It will make you enough money to get by somehow, maybe rent a room somewhere. This will allow you to end the relationship that you seem to be unhappy about. However, consider, that you might only feel this way because of everything else that is happening in your life, so before breaking up you have to really think hard about this and not just follow your feelings. And when you have some sort of a job and can support yourself, and either decide to stay with your friend or rent a room, you have an opportunity to start all over again from there. Or how about you just move back in with your parents for a while...
