FML this world blows!

Ok, what really pisses me off is the fact that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer! When I was young I wasn't taught anything about credit so I really screwed mine up before I ever got a good job. Now Im 25 with two little girls I make just enough money to pay the bills we have but not enough to pay the debt I have from when I was younger. So now that I have a decent job to pay for what I need, I cant get a loan for a vehical, I cant get a loan for a house...nothing, and theres not much I can do about it. I'll be stuck like this for the rest of my life. This world is not fair at all. A lot of us normal people work our MOTHER FUCKIN asses off only to get by, when most of what us normal people do is keep this economy and world running, becuase we do the dirty work, while people who are actually getting to do what they love make shit loads of money, isn't that backwards??? SHITTY ASS WORLD!!!! Im sooo over it!

Life does suck and yet it doesn't. I know firsthand how hard it is to get out from under a mountain of debt and the effect a bad credit record can have in limiting your life's choices. Money is nice and having enough to take care of basic necessities is essential. Beyond that, though, a person can do all right, if they have a good attitude and pay attention to the things in life that are priceless--like those two little girls of yours, the warmth of the sun, the beauty of the natural world, a friendly smile, the laughter of a friend, hearing your favorite song, dancing, the satisfaction that comes from hanging in there and surviving despite the challenges of life--you can add a lot to the list, I'll bet, if you think about it. There are a lot of rich people who don't have a clue about what's really important in life, too. Some times, money (and the love of money) can get in the way of living a decent life, too.

There are ways for people with bad or no credit to buy cars, though--used cars and sometimes new ones, too. My first car was purchased that way. If you have a steady income, you should be able to buy one. It might not be the car of your dreams, but you can find one that will do the job. Saving for a down payment can make the difference in interest rates and the car you get, too.
Just be sure you can afford the payments. If you meet the terms of your loan, that will help improve your credit rating.

Is there a way to work out a payment plan with one of your old creditors at a time, to pay off an old bill gradually, and then begin working on paying off the next one?

Also, I believe that after a certain number of years, negative old accounts on your credit report will drop off, which will improve your score over time.

You can get a one-time free credit report online or pay a monthly fee to have access to credit information, including recommendations on how to improve your credit rating. Also, you can get free credit advice from your local office of the Credit Counseling Center, a not-for-profit organization--not to be confused with other debt reduction companies working for a profit, often scamming their customers by not providing what they say they will do and getting people into deeper financial difficulties.

Don't give up hope. Learn as much as you can about improving your financial health (books and shows and information online can help). Make a plan and keep working toward a better financial future. You have two little ones that are counting on you to lead the way.

A great book for this is The Richest Man in Babylon or Multiple Streams of Income.

dpgujW Thank you for another magnificent post. Where else could anyone get that type of information in such an ideal way of writing? I've a presentation next week, and I'm on the look for such information.
