I'm sorry to hear that. Don't lose hope and don't give up yet. Try to get some strength from your girl and try to change things. Set your mind to it, work hard and you will make it. Nothing is impossible. If necessary seek professional help but don't stop trying...

^ He could be at a library.

Sorry to hear your situation Frank. You still have a person to hold at night so I hope you treasure that and treat her right. Lots of people here don't have anyone they can do that with.

Dear Frank-
Your mom is a useless excuse for a human being. If everything is true- she can go right up to the top of the list: WORLD'S WORST MOTHER. What a flipping idiot! Anyhow, your story is tragic. I can't believe that she was able to get away with all that crap!!????? Do you live in the U.S.? Well, the sad truth is you can't count on her for nothing. Zilch. You've made it this far without parental guidance, I bet you can push forward. Losing a great job- geee, I can relate to that! But you've got to beat the street and find another. Even if it's temporary. You've got to keep up your faith and strength. Nobody is going to do it for you- not even your girlfriend. There is only YOU. Find another eldercare home to work for- or something similar. Something is bound to spring up, if you put forth enough effort!
You've gotten this far baby- you can do it!
Good luck-
