In the last 6 years my husband left me, lost our house and money with bad real estate debt, so I got NOTHING in divorce despite 19 yrs of marriage. I raised/raising 3 kids on my own, work 2-3 jobs, even 4 at times. Three of my precious pups died over the course of a year (old age and one got hit by a car right in front of me). The worst is now. I'm a nurse and was on shift one night when a baby was born with cerebral palsy. The family is suing the hospital and I have to go to trial (with a few other nurses). Don't have anything to wear, don't want to buy anything. Have to work too much never get to date or look for partner. I have nothing, am nothing,

Im sorry, its so sad to hear your story, keep believing and pray that your life will get better. Love your kids and let them know that you eat all the trouble just to see their smile. :)

you're not nothing. You're supporting your family and doing the best you can for them. I'm sorry that things have been so difficult for you recently but even if a situation seems hopeless and like it will never change, life does change.i'm in a situation where i have to work all the time too, just to be able to afford a place that may as well be a shoebox but I'm just hanging on in there, looking for better jobs all the time and hoping for things to get better. Sometimes life changes and it's not necessarily better but at least the challenges change, so that's something ;-) don't worry about not being able to date either. I've been dating for a couple of years since my breakup and the guys i met were either crazy or after a quick bunk up... Depending on what type of jobs you do, you're probably more likely to meet someone at work and least that way, you get to know them first and they get to know you too, at your best and at your worst! I know it's hard but even if you can make even half an hour per day of you time, a bath maybe or tv or one chapter of a book, whatever it is you enjoy, you'll feel better. Hope things pick up for you anyway :-) take care

You are a super mum who has the integrity and courage to go and work and provide for the kids.. Dont worry about clothes, you know people love people what they are not because their look,. I watched this program she a was single working mum, she kept her home clean, kids were just perfect and responsible, they were poor and her look from hard work showed in her face but i tell you I had so much respect for that women and she had this integrity pouring over her, you just cant help but love and respect her.. I feel you are one of the those ladies.. Take care of yourself, make sure you get plenty rest and eat well.. I send lots of love and light to you.. :))

That is a very sad story but on the bright side at least you had a house to lose and you have a career. Nurses make very good money I dont understand how you are not able to pay the bills. Try raising your family on minimum wage $10.75 an hour.
By anonymous at 19,Jul,12 17:34

depend on the kind of nurse you are and where you work. she has worked for what she has, why should she lose it and you don't miss what you don't have..

So what? You have a car, kids, a decent job. Look at me: no car, no wife, no money. I don't have shit! What are you complaining about?

If 3 kids is too expensive for you, then why did you have them in the first place. It's not like there's any shortage of people in the world.
