Social life calamity

I've always had a hard time getting and keeping freinds. I'm not the most extroverted person and it takes a really long time for me to become comfortable with people and feel like I really have a friend. I'm a junior in highschool and this year has been the worst ever since my supposedly best friends started to ignore me. We met in eigth grade and from then on we always hung out and I was able to become really comfortable with them. It was the longest I had managed to keep hold of a freindship, most of them ending after about a year. Its not that I want them to end! Everyone just seems to leave me. So junior year started and I felt great about having 3 friends that I could tell everything to aand new the real me. Then all of a sudden they starte to ignore me. No more chatting in the hallways, or hanging out after school. Every time I tried to approach them they gave me a dirty look, and after a while I just stopped trying. Now I'm alone again and severly depressed. Why does everyone I grow attached to leave me? Its been like this since I was in kindergarten and I hoped the past few years had changed that trend. But now its happened again. I'm afraid of trying anymore. In the end, they just leave.

I've always had a hard time getting and keeping freinds to stay alive. I'm not the most stable person and it takes a really long time for me to become at ease with people and not push them off a bridge. I'm a junior in highschool and this year has been the best ever since my best friends started to attack me with automatic weapons. We met in eigth grade and from then on we always hung peoples pets I was able to become really comfortable with them. It was the longest I had managed to keep hold of a freindship, most of them ending in a violent explosion or ritual sacrifice after about a year. Its not that I want them to end! Everyone just seems to leave me. So junior year started and I felt great about having 3 friends that I could tell everything to and new the real me. Then all of a sudden they starte to ignore me. No more throwing grenades in the hallways, or hanging classmates pets after school. Every time I tried to approach them they gave me a dirty look, and after a while I just decided to inseminate myself. Now I'm alone again and happier than ever. Why does everyone I grow attached to have aids? Its been like this since I was in kindergarten and I hoped the past few years had changed that trend. But now its happened again. I'm afraid of trying anymore. In the end, they just explode.

Ugh, Highschool is a bitch. There is no explaining the actions of Highschoolers or teenagers in general. The first step is to stop thinking its you. This is seemingly impossible for a teenager, as all teenagers are prone to severe insecurity. So step two, either confront them or find new friends. I know this, again, is seemingly impossible for teenagers because one) you'll either cause major drama (as conflicts cannot be handled in an adult way as a Highschooler) or (because of your insecurity) think that new friends are not possible. So I leave you with Plan B (which is what I did): join the drama club, find activities in your community (or the largest city next to you) so you can meet students from other schools who don't suck, and graduate early.

Hey high school can be difficult enough without worrying about some goofball and why he's not your bud anymore. You have got remember that these gods of the hallway or what ever the hell they think they are have no guts to be an individual, they all worry about what the other might think so they stay in there clone existance without shaking the boat. You are a threat to them because somehow you are different and it worrys them. I am 51 years old and I know the world your in, and believe me just wait till you go to your high school reunions, you will see how far they have fallen and the funny thing is they all want to talk and hang with you, by the end of the night your leaving feeling great and these guys are wondering how things could of been different. You will make good friends in time, just don't push it and don't let these idiots get you down. Keep your head up and don't give these guys a second look, they will be wondering whats up with him.

I know exacly what you're going through. I'm 19 and all the friends I've ever had end up stabbing me in the back or just end up leaving and forgeting about me. You just gotta find a friend that you can really trust and will really appreciate and accept you for who you are.

The last three months of my senior year was the same, but I managed cause I had friends from other schools. Trust me, when you're out of that place and get into the real world, you'll find better people to be friends with, or try looking for people who don't go to your school to be friends with.

Em it is not you just the way of the world. Most people do not give a shit about anyone else. There are people that are just like you and you will find them. It will be okay.

I've been asking myself that question for years. Hang in there real friends will come.
